Pastor Meeks begins in Revelations 3: 1-6 with his message entitled, “Hope for the Hopeless Church”.  The church should not strive to serve man, but rather serve our Lord and Master. “Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain,” Rev 3:2  God prefers that the church grows spiritually rather than numerically.  There is hope through continued obedience to Jesus Christ.

Brother Nathan’s message of encouragement today focuses on, “Finding Perfect Peace”.   Isaiah 26:3, “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee:  because he trusteth in thee.”  We must continue to focus on things which are from God.  The Apostle Paul was able to write, even from a prison cell, that we should “Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.” (Phil 4:4)  Paul also wrote of the key to perfect peace: “Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.”  (Phil 4:9)

Pastor Meeks speaks on “The Account of Samson”, as recorded in Judges, Chapters 13-16.   There are many lessons to be learned when studying history in The Old Testament.  In the first verse of chapter 13 we learn that sin does have consequences.  Among other lessons to be learned from these chapters are:   be steadfast in your worship of  The Lord,  God is faithful to provide for His children, we must learn from our mistakes, and that we need to take seriously and be good stewards of the gifts which God has given us.
